Of all projects on this site you might take on yourself, this is going to be the easiest. You can purchase a T-Deck Plus from Amazon, AliExpress, or Rokland around $90 as of this writing, and the only things you need to add to make it ChatterBox compatible are:
- T-Deck Plus
- Optional: Empty Compatible SD card (32 GB or less)
- ChatterBox Firmware
- Follow instructions on the firmware page or on the video below
If you want an external antenna, you’d can take the unit apart and add that. I have not tried upgrading the antenna yet myself.
