The SAMD51 was the originally targeted platform for ChatterBox. You may see videos of a full touchscreen device that looks much different from the LilyGo devices. Devices based on SAMD51 are not yet for sale, but you may build and run an experimental version yourself. These are currently US-only, but are fully compatible with Lilygo devices you may have in your cluster.
The SAMD51 is lower power and especially well-suited for nodes (don’t even add the screen, for much longer time between charges).
