Starting a Communicator

When ChatterBox starts up, the first thing it needs to do is figure out the current time. If your device has a built-in realtime clock, this is usually instant. If your device does not have a realtime clock (T-Deck+ does not), it will need to pull the time from either GPS or a nearby ChatterBox. Typically, if you have a good view of the sky, your device can acquire a GPS signal within 10-20 seconds. You can also tap the time button repeatedly until it turns green, which will cause your communicator to listen for time broadcasts from nearby devices. All ChatterBox devices broadcast time periodically by default, so this can definitely speed up your startup time. Any ChatterBox communicator can also push time on demand (in settings menu), which would assist another device during startup.
